Treeplanning – Jacqueline Waring MArbA

tree constraints surveyor

.                                           Jacqui Waring

A Pivotal Role

The South West Inverness Flood Relief Channel Phases 1 and 2 were major flood alleviation contracts carried out over a number of years.

Jacqui Waring wrote a comprehensive and detailed specification for inclusion within the Tender Documents for the both Enabling Works and Phases 1 and 2 and fulfilled the role of Highland Council appointed Arboriculturalist for the works. All aspects of the tree felling carried out during the enabling works was supervised by Jacqui, requiring close liaison with the Planning Service and the landowners. She was required to review all aspects of method statements, supervise the various work elements being carried out in close proximity to the trees, updating and liaising with the Planning Service as the project progressed. This pivotal role she fulfilled with a high degree of professionalism.

A Confident Recommendation

We asked Jacqui Waring to draw up a tree planting programme and a tree protection plan to comply with the conditions of a planning consent. Jacqui visited the site and produced the necessary documents in a form that was acceptable to the planning authority within the agreed time frame. As a result the project proceeded satisfactorily. I would be happy to work with Jacqui again and would confidently recommend her services.

Working Proactively to Find Solutions

“We worked with Jacqui from the earliest stages of defining a significant development in an historic context within a mature landscape. Jacqui has the ability to strike a very sensitive balance between the needs of development and preservation, always working proactively to find solutions that are both appropriate and workable. Jacqui is very personable and has developed over may years, sound working relationships with the local authority and she brings a thoroughly professional approach to the negotiation of statutory consents. Jacqui quickly became a valuable asset to our team.” Mike Lawson, Director, Colin Armstrong Architects

Efficient Both in Terms of Time and Cost

“Having worked with Treeplanning over a number of projects in the last four years, Jacqui has helped us to navigate the intricacies of the Planning conditions associated with tree protection ensuring that  Compass comply with our obligations and carry out our works with the minimum impact on the  existing natural habitat.  Working proactively with the Council’s Tree Protection Team, Jacqui ensured that the measures associated with the protection of trees within our projects were carried out efficiently both in terms of time and cost. I would have no hesitation using  Treeplanning on future Projects or in recommending Jacqui to potential Clients.”

A Pleasure to Work With Jacqui on my Project

Jacqui was a pleasure to work with and the solutions she provided were a lot less expensive than the Planning request while still meeting with their demands. The tree protection area was accommodated and Jacqui produced a tree planting plan that was approved by planning and still allowed us to take in the fantastic views.
Jacqui also told us where we could get the trees we needed and when to plant them. Even with all the dry weather we have a 100% success rate with the new trees.
Jacqui is an expert in her field and made a very difficult task seem simple. She knows how to deal with people at all levels and can find mutually acceptable solutions to most problems where trees are concerned.
It has been my pleasure to work with Jacqui on my project and I highly recommend her. Andrew MacKenzie, Taighnabhraoin

Professional and Efficient

“Jacqui visited us to assess the project and told us what we would get, how long it would take, when it would be done and what it would cost.

The work was carried out exactly as she predicted in a very professional and efficient manner and the very clear report gave us exactly the information we required.

Thanks to Jacqui’s professionalism and personal style, the exercise was a thorough, rewarding and enjoyable one and we would recommend her services to others without hesitation”.
